A little more history
Prvá nízkofrekvenčná® is a speck of dust compared to the big companies. What might seem like a disadvantage at first is actually a big advantage. It is because the path from the drawing board to the customer is much more personal, more flexible. We are not anonymously hidden behind the walls of our offices, but we are personally involved in the production of each amplifier. As a result, each manufactured piece is also our personal achievement, which is why we perceive it very sensitively.
We will always try to maintain this level and push it higher. We will not go back. For us, customer satisfaction is much more important than mass sales of products, where there simply has to be some compromise between quality and price.
History is written long before the first product is launched on the market.
It starts with something absolutely intangible, but sometimes incalculably valuable - an idea.
They are often born and disappear, but some of them, for some reason, take root deep in our heads,
where they await the transformation from dream to reality.
"Origins"
I was inclined towards electrical engineering from a young age and my parents often reminded me that when I was a baby, in the carriage, they went with me for a walk under the high-voltage cables, where I kept shouting: "Moo, moo"! This made me so tired that I fell asleep.
I was about 12 years old and my first PCB design was a guitar effect, a simple booster with three transistors. There was no better sound for me at that moment, that's for sure! I was fascinated by the sound, and so all subsequent constructions revolved around it.
"First tubes"
Over time, before the age of 15, I began to look for tube connections for the fascination of their heat, light, or as I initially thought for their simplicity. Although the connection is schematically simpler than the connection with transistors, but it is all the more susceptible to choosing the right values of the parts and the overall design. I remember the very first tube preamplifier. We didn't have internet at home and the only source of connection was a monthly electronics magazine. I begged the tubes from grandfather's friend who repaired old radios*. He then gave me several pieces of ECC 803 of the original Tesla production. To this day, those tubes are rare and I still have them set aside or I use. In the case of the preamplifier, the anode voltage power source was not drawn, only the stated 320 Vdc. I didn't use the mains transformer then because my naive self told me it wouldn't be necessary. I thought that the mains 230 Vac after rectification and filtering would give approximately this value, which it does, but the effect does not occur relatively important galvanic separation. Incorrect grounding was followed by a flash, a blow where the rectifier bridge burned. It did not deter, on the contrary.
*Grandpa had a lot of old radios that he gave to me when I was very young "to fix". The grandson was happy and so was the grandfather. Now I'm beating my head against the wall that I basically destroyed them all. About the same period, I watched the fairy tale A je to!, where two experts made a potter's wheel from a reel-to-reel tape recorder. It was fascinating it turns and plays beautifully. This one told me that my second grandfather had one - it was a reporter's URAN. I used to record songs, nature, and fictitious conversations on it, and my grandfather had all the accessories for it - case, microphone, batteries, external power source. Also the warranty card! Out of curiosity, came the need to find out how it works inside. Of course, I took it completely apart and never put it back together. Today, when I think about it, it makes me very happy it sucks, but at that moment I didn't think about it that much..
"Study and work"
Time passed, there were many breaks due to education or work. However, they were constantly emerging various constructions for friends, recording studios, or for your own pleasure. I also filled my time with audio services of electronics, during which I resented the amateurism of renowned brands. Sometimes it was really a matter of considerable ignorance. After graduating with a degree in cybernetics, I stayed in industrial electronics and programming for a few years, where I totally burned out. I started rejecting computers and started getting into the 1950s and 1960s era of technology.
"Decision"
The year 2023 came, when I made a final decision. I will transform all these experiences into the final form. Quality and aesthetics. Designs and product portfolio for people who care about quality and effort as much as I do.
